• To relieve the poverty of education in a remote area of northern Tanzania for girls from the poorest families
• To break their cycle of poverty through post-primary education
• To open opportunities for young women and their future families
• To raise the status of young women in the area

These aims make a small contribution to 5 of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals to reduce poverty and gender disparities by providing quality education and improving employment opportunities for young women.
